Parking lots open at 8 a.m. on game day; tailgate at the back of your vehicle. Season-long setup begins Saturday, August 9 at 8 a.m. (2026 date TBA); Cooper Drive setup occurs on the Fridays before game day at noon.

Getting in

Gates. All public gates open 1.5 hours (90 minutes) prior to kickoff; Gates 4, 9, 12 and the suites open two (2) hours prior to kickoff. Gates 4, 9, 12 and suites open 2 hours (120 min) before kickoff; all other public gates open 1.5 hours (90 min) before. Gate 1 is dedicated to student entry only (valid UK student ID + mobile ticket). Medically necessary entry is via Gates 1.5, 3.5 or 9.5.
Transit. $1 per person each way, paid onboard (exact change appreciated). Virginia Ave. Shuttle begins 2 hours before kickoff; Downtown Route begins 3 hours before kickoff; both are suspended 30 minutes after kickoff and resume post-game from the start of the 4th quarter until 1 hour after the game. Provided by Lextran. Lines: UK Football Express – Virginia Ave. Shuttle (Lextran), UK Football Express – Downtown Route (Lextran).
Tailgating. Tailgating is permitted in the parking lots. Only pop-up tents are allowed; any tent/structure requiring stakes more than 4 inches deep is not permitted on UK grounds and permanent tailgating structures are prohibited. Tailgate at the back of your vehicle. Tailgating lines are in place in the Green, Blue, and Orange Lots. Tents on green space may be no larger than 10'x10' unless approved. All tents/trailers must be tagged with Name, Phone Number, and Email Address (tags available at Kroger Field Gate 1 starting July 21, or use your own); untagged items are subject to removal. 'Call Before You Stake' – stakes deeper than 4 inches require UK Athletics approval (859-218-3716); do not stake near tree roots; do not block parking spaces or drive lanes. No parking on green space between the Green, Red, and Blue lots. Portable generators must be UK-approved and rated 60DB or less. Music must be confined to your tailgate area; live bands/DJs require UK approval. Caterers need proper parking permits. Pop-up/portable restrooms brought by tailgaters are prohibited. Golf carts, motorized scooters, coolers, and mopeds are prohibited throughout the complex. Parking lots open at 8 a.m. on game day. Season-long tailgate setup window begins Saturday, August 9 at 8 a.m. (2026 date TBA); Cooper Drive tailgate setup occurs separately on the Fridays before game day at noon. Non-permit Cooper Drive setups/parking may begin no earlier than noon on Fridays. Large industrial-size cookers must be approved by UK Athletics prior to game day. Open flames are not permitted without prior authorization from the University Fire Marshal's office; at least one 5-pound all-purpose ABC fire extinguisher must be provided. Cooking is not permitted within a tent without Fire Marshal authorization. Charcoal and other flammables must be properly extinguished and disposed of and cannot be placed in any dumpster or trash can (per the University of Kentucky Open Flame Policy). Permitted RVs may enter the Main RV and Gluck RV lots beginning 8 p.m. Friday and must remain in their reserved (assigned, numbered) stall through game-day Saturday; stalls are not first-come. Personal vehicles are not permitted inside the RV lots (must unhitch), except trucks pulling a 5th wheel/trailer or one vehicle with a valid RV permit in place of the RV (an Orange permit is required for a car in tow without a valid permit). All football-permitted vehicles must be removed by noon Sunday. Visitor RVs without permits park at the corner of Virginia and Press Avenue (primary) with overflow near Press and Transcript Avenue; these open 6 p.m. Friday, are free, first-come, and have no hookups.
Accessibility. With a valid state-issued handicap hang tag, fans may park in the single-game reserved lots at the corner of Woodland Ave and Columbia Ave near William T. Young Library (206-vehicle capacity, $50 per vehicle, card payment only); once full, guests are directed to Parking Structures 2 or 6. A shuttle runs from the reserved lots to Gate 6 beginning 3 hours before kickoff, with return shuttles from the end of the 3rd/4th quarter until 30-60 minutes after the game. A limited-mobility guest golf-cart shuttle runs from Gate 6 to any other stadium gate. Guests with medically necessary equipment (wheelchairs, canes, breastfeeding equipment, epi-pens, etc.) enter through Gates 1.5, 3.5 or 9.5 where bags are searched and tagged. Guest Services booths are outside Gates 1, 4, 9 & 12 and on the concourses. Contact the UK ticket office (859-257-1818) for accessible seating.
Entry. Outside food and drinks including alcoholic beverages; outside food and drink containers including hard-shell koozies; all weapons including firearms, concealed or open; portable heaters and combustibles; glass, aluminum containers and ice chests; artificial noisemakers, irritants and laser pointers; all illegal substances, tobacco products and electronic cigarettes; large bags; drawstring bags, even those that are clear; pets; unmanned aircraft; inflatables; poles, extensions or selfie sticks; backpacks, even those that are clear; purses larger than a clutch that are not clear.

Food worth the line

Concession stands throughout Kroger Field offer specialty and Kentucky Proud items; credit cards are accepted at most stands and Kroger Field is not a cashless venue. Alcohol (beer and seltzer) is sold with a limit of 2 per transaction and ID checks; football alcohol sales end at the end of the 3rd quarter. Food trucks are located outside Gate 4 in Chevy Park (their items may not be brought inside). Complimentary water tanks are available on both the lower and upper concourse.

Complimentary water is available on the concourses. Food and drink purchased from the food trucks outside Gate 4 cannot be brought into the stadium.
