Parking lots (donor/public) open 7 a.m. Saturday for Saturday games (after 3 p.m. game day for non-Saturday games); RV lots open as early as 12:01 a.m. Friday (Lot 16); tents/canopies not permitted before game day and must be removed by noon the day after the game

Getting in

Gates. All gates open two hours prior to kickoff.
Transit. Blacksburg Transit runs an expanded game-day schedule with free fare for all riders. All BT routes except the Two Town Trolley drop off at the Transit Center Loops near the Perry Street garage, where riders board the Campus Shuttle (CAS) that drops off near Cassell Coliseum. Postgame, the CAS returns to the Transit Center Maroon Loop; the Orange Loop closes two hours after kickoff.
Tailgating. Tailgating must stay in the area immediately behind your vehicle; do not block roadways or sidewalks. Prohibited in lots: throwing objects (footballs, frisbees), placing tables/chairs/cornhole boards into the roadway, sound systems or noise amplification (bands, DJ equipment), cutting/removing/destroying boundary ropes or signs, destroying landscaping or fencing, and underage drinking. Corporate/professional tailgates are not allowed without prior written approval from the Department of Athletics (and Virginia Tech Sports Properties).
Accessibility. Accessible parking is in the Oak Lane lot (across from Sigma Phi Epsilon house) for $30 via ParkMobile; VT staff issue a pass required to board the ADA bus. ADA bus pickup is at the stop sign outside the NW corner of the lot; drop-off and postgame pickup are near the entrance to Gate 3. Family/Special Needs restrooms are located behind sections 127, 205, 509, 115 and 107. Fans needing special accommodations should notify the ticket office in advance (540-231-6731).
Entry. No re-entry once you leave the stadium. Walk-through metal detectors at all gates and all guests subject to search. Everyone regardless of age must have a valid mobile ticket. Lane Stadium is fully cashless. Smoke-free except designated areas at Gates 1S, 6S, 7S and 3. Umbrellas are prohibited.

Food worth the line

A variety of concession stands are open. All concessions are cashless (credit/debit, Apple Pay, Google Pay only). Alcohol is sold at designated stands with a two-drink maximum per ID per transaction and valid ID required; alcohol sales end at the end of the third quarter.

What size bag can I bring into Lane Stadium?

Lane Stadium requires a clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12". Clear bag policy in effect for all home games. Approved: clear plastic/vinyl/PVC bags not exceeding 12x6x12 in, or a one-gallon clear freezer/Ziploc bag; a small clutch 4.5x1x6.5 in without a handle or strap may also be carried alongside one clear bag. Exceptions: medically necessary items in clear bags after proper inspection at a designated gate; diapers may be carried in a clear bag. Prohibited bags include purses, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, fanny packs (including crossbody or belt bags with straps), cinch bags, luggage, seat cushions, strollers, computer bags, camera bags, diaper bags, or any bag larger than the permissible size.

Can you bring outside food into Lane Stadium?

No outside food or beverage is permitted; coolers, containers and bags are prohibited unless they hold medical supplies.
