Getting in

Gates. Gates to NRG Stadium open 2 hours before kickoff.
Transit. Exit at Stadium Park / Astrodome Station off Fannin and enter Gate 2. From IAH airport take METRO 500 Downtown Direct to downtown then transfer to Red Line. METRO info 713-225-0119; 100% accessible with METROLift paratransit. Lines: METRORail Red Line.
Tailgating. Allowed in all NRG Park lots for Houston Texans games (other events at management discretion). Limited to your parking spot and the space directly in front of or behind the vehicle, not blocking the drive lane or beyond the blue lines; no saving or blocking spaces (fans tailgating together must arrive together); tents and chairs must be stowed before kickoff; golf carts, bikes and scooters prohibited; music kept to a minimum; each parking receipt is one 8x16 ft spot; one extra spot may be purchased for added tailgate area. Parking lots open 4 hours before kickoff for Texans games; other events at management discretion. Open flames allowed but must be extinguished before entering the stadium. Charcoal must be match-light/quick-light (no lighter fluid), with a metal pan under the pit and coals deposited in orange containers. Propane connections must be tight. Fire extinguisher minimum rating 2-A:10-B:C required and charged. Generators allowed with fuel stored in UL-approved metal safety cans. RVs must purchase a minimum of two parking spots and park in designated RV areas in each lot; additional spaces required for canopies. BBQs in tow require an additional space.
Accessibility. ADA parking first-come first-served in designated sections (Orange, Maroon, Red, Blue lots) with valid placard/plate plus paid pass; accessible seating on all levels; dedicated mobility assistance team plus venue wheelchairs; accessible elevators at NRG Stadium NE/SE/SW/NW lobbies; sensory room and KultureCity sensory bags at Section 133; service dogs permitted (no emotional-support animals); ADA mobility drop-off at Blue Lot 19 (Gate 9); contact 832-667-1810 / ADAAccommodations@nrgpark.com.
Entry. No re-entry policy: once you exit a facility you may not return unless otherwise posted. Restricted areas require an official credential or ticket.
