Parking lots open five hours prior to kickoff, except Lot #2/El Camino Grove which opens 6:00 AM PT on gameday (Lot #2 overnight pass-holders from 3:00 PM PT the Thursday before a Saturday home game).

Getting in

Gates. Gates to Stanford Stadium open an hour and a half (1.5 hours) before kickoff on Saturday; fans may enter through Gates 2, 4, 5, 10, and 12..
Transit. Palo Alto and Stanford Stadium Caltrain stations are a short walk to the stadium (limited stops at the Stanford Stadium station on gamedays); the Marguerite Shuttle is a free campus-loop shuttle; BART riders connect at Millbrae, Fremont, and Union City; SamTrans links the Palo Alto train station to San Mateo County/SFO; VTA runs along El Camino Real.
Tailgating. Patrons may park and tailgate in any of the designated football parking lots around Stanford Stadium (shaded groves and lawns, including the Chuck Taylor Grove tailgating tradition). Reserved full-service group tailgate packages are available through RevelXP on Maloney Field and Avery Plaza.
Accessibility. ADA shuttle service via Dis-GO on game days picks up fans on motorized carts at select locations near the stadium, with a primary drop-off at Gate 4, starting 30 minutes before gates open (carts return to Gate 4 after the game). Stanford Stadium provides wheelchair and companion seating; game-day relocations into ADA seats are limited and first-come, first-served.
Entry. Stanford Stadium is not accessible to the public on non-game days. Stadium gates open approximately 1.5 hours prior to kickoff (subject to change); fans are encouraged to use the gate nearest their seating section.

Food worth the line

Concessions inside Stanford Stadium are cashless. Vendors include Chick-fil-A (Sec. 235), Silva Sausage Co. (Sec. 103 & 232), Blue Line Pizza (Sec. 115 & 128), plus Rita's Italian Ice, Kikka Sushi, and Wetzel's Pretzels. Beer, wine, and ready-to-drink cocktails are sold in-venue (ID/wristband required); alcohol sales conclude at the end of the third quarter and cannot leave the stadium.

Stanford Stadium requires a clear bag no larger than 12" x 12" x 6". Clear Bag Policy for all athletic events. Approved bags: clear plastic/vinyl/PVC bags not exceeding 12"x6"x12", one-gallon clear plastic (Ziploc) bags, and a small clutch/purse about the size of a hand (no larger than 4.5"x6.5") with or without a strap. EXCEPTIONS: fans with medically necessary items may bring them in a non-clear bag subject to additional screening; diaper bags are permitted as 'medically necessary' but an infant must be present and they are subject to additional screening. Non-compliant bags can be checked at a bag check station (football: Cagan Stadium or between Gates 9 and 10). Clear bags are sold at Guest Services tents, the Stanford Bookstore, and the Athletics Shop.
